Are you only experiencing temporary relief after a massage or a visit to the physiotherapist? Are you tired of feeling that tight, annoying pain or chronic pain in your body? A session at MRBW is unlike any form of bodywork you have ever experienced.
Myofascial Rebalancing Bodywork consists of various techniques such as massage, myofascial (muscle) release, and stretching exercises, and can be applied to address various physical and emotional issues. During a session, I focus on the different layers of fascial tissue in the body.
Fascia is a type of connective tissue that forms a three-dimensional web in the body. It provides support and surrounds muscles, bones, organs, and other structures.
There are three main layers of fascia: superficial, deep, and visceral. Fascia plays a crucial role in maintaining the structural integrity of the body, such as distributing forces and maintaining proper alignment and posture.
Chronic pain is often associated with changes in the fascia. Fascia can become tight and restricted due to injury, inflammation, poor posture, or other factors, which can lead to chronic pain and dysfunction. In some cases, chronic pain may be related to myofascial trigger points, which are specific areas of muscle tissue that are hypersensitive and can cause pain and other symptoms.
Chronic pain and emotional pain are often intertwined and can exacerbate each other. Chronic pain, which is pain that lasts longer than three months, can lead to emotional problems such as anxiety, depression, and social isolation. In turn, emotional pain and stress can also increase the perception of pain, making it more difficult to cope with chronic pain.
Myofascial release and other forms of bodywork can be effective in reducing pain and improving function in people with chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia, low back pain, and neck pain.
During a session, I use techniques that target the root cause of pain, which can result from factors such as lack of movement, previous injuries, poor biomechanics, improper posture, and emotional events. These issues can lead to tight and compressed muscles, neuromuscular guarding, and dehydrated fascia, causing pain that can become deeply ingrained within the body if left untreated.
With precision and patience, I help your body respond, release, and calm down in the right way, offering a customized approach for your individual needs. Whether you're dealing with a sports injury, chronic low back pain, or poor posture.
The sessions are tailored to your individual pain tolerance to ensure there is sufficient comfort, relaxation, and effectiveness. My philosophy is based on the idea that the best healing results are achieved when one is simultaneously challenged and supported. While some treatments may present certain challenges and barriers, I provide support throughout the entire process.
'Optimal growth occurs at the border of challenge and support.'
It depends on the person and the condition. After a session, significant changes can already occur in the body. It then becomes a matter of maintenance.
The depth and slow pace of this treatment allow me to address areas to ultimately eliminate pain. Over time, lack of movement, previous injuries, poor biomechanics, improper posture, and emotional events can lead to tight and compressed muscles, neuromuscular guarding, dehydrated and irritated fascia, which can cause pain. If these issues remain untreated, they can become chronically ingrained within the body.
